Hello!

I'm a videographer, photographer and communications writer with more than 10 years of experience. My work has ranged from storytelling through video and photo,  to national brand campaigns, for clients in nonprofit, higher education and federal contract settings. Along the way, I've learned how to find the story in almost anything and tell it in a way that connect across audiences.

 

At the NCAA, I produced video work that earned multiple Telly Awards. I also spent a lot of time translating complicated regulations, rules and legal outcomes into information that coaches, administrators, athletes and the public could understand. That skill has shaped everything I do since. Whether I'm writing a press release or editing a video, the goal is the same: make it clear and make people want to pay attention.

 

At West Virginia University, I created high-visibility brand content for broadcast and social media, from a Telly Award-winning national TV spot to video campaigns aimed at recruiting new students. I also coordinated media interviews, served as media contact for the WVU Alumni Association and Eberly College and wrote for university leadership.

 

In 2026, I started Jessica McGee Media to offer that same experience to organizations, small businesses and families in Morgantown and across West Virginia. Some clients come to me for a full video project from planning to final cut. Others need one piece, like edited podcast episodes, a round of headshots or a newsletter written on deadline. I'm happy to do either.
